Designing real products for over 10 years

Work

Google Material Design

I was one of the designers responsible for designing Google's Material Design website. It was launched and introduced to the world by Google's VP of Design and Google Fellow Matías Duarte during Google I/O in 2014.

Material Design is Google's open-source design system for building beautiful, usable products.

The 2014 Material Design website turned Google’s new visual language into a public, cross-platform design system—combining philosophy, interaction rules, components, motion principles, and developer implementation guidance. It helped redefine how Android, Google products, and much of the wider app ecosystem looked and behaved.

Considered the biggest design project in the world at the time, within a year, over a million apps in Google Play were already using it.

Together with Huge Inc's team, I helped define the website's grids, color and typographic styles, content information architecture, navigation patterns, ui elements and components to support different types and sizes of text, imagery and video. It is one of the most important projects that I have worked on.

Warren

Founding partner and cdo for Warren, an asset management, brokerage and wealth management platform, where I was responsible for its entire product design, ux/ui, and branding ecossystem.

Launched in 2017 and still active today, Warren is Brazil's first financial broker to let investors create, invest in, and track their life investment plans through goals, without having to rely on human support or prior financial knowledge.

By talking to “Warren” (a chatbot), users are guided through the creation of their own personalized financial goals. Warren then selects and invests in the most suitable financial products for each goal, allowing users to follow their progress in a logged-in area.

Since its launch, Warren has been widely studied, referenced, and copied. It attracted attention from investors and received funding from vcs across the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Today, it manages billions of reais for thousands of clients throughout Brazil with the help of a team of more than 400 people.

At Warren, I helped build the entire product and brand ecossystem from scratch for a fintech that became one of Brazil's most loved investment platforms.

I worked hands-on across ui/ux, design system, front-end, brand and typography for the mobile apps, responsive web, back-office tools, marketing, and physical environments, staying close to execution while helping shape the company's design direction as it grew.

Poseidon.Surf

A personal project to explore and apply new technologies from design to production.

Poseidon.Surf helps surfers find the best waves and conditions near them (Brazil only, for now).

Based on the user's location, it identifies nearby surf spots within a range set by the surfer, analyzes their conditions, and ranks the best options by date and time.

I created, designed and developed the backend, API and front-end.

Bio

I started my career in Brazil at XP Investimentos, the country's leading independent investment broker. There, I was responsible for redesigning Infomoney, Brazil's most popular financial news portal.

After XP Investimentos, I joined Huge Inc., where I worked on digital projects for brands such as Coca-Cola, Discovery Channel, Google, and more. Right after joining the company, I was sent to New York for three months to work on a confidential Google project that would later be introduced at Google I/O as “Material Design”.

In 2015, I moved to Porto Alegre to found Warren, where I built the company from zero to one, until the end of 2025. Over that time, I worked across hands-on product design, brand, leadership, and board-level decisions, helping shape Warren from its earliest concept into one of Brazil's most recognized investment platforms.

I have a bachelor's degree in Social Communication, Marketing, Media and Advertising from ESPM Rio and a post-graduation degree in Interface Ergodesign: Usability and Information Architecture from PUC Rio.
